Can uterine septum be cured?

It is possible to cure uterine septum with surgery.
Mediastinum is caused by a woman’s congenital underdevelopment of the uterus, which creates a diaphragm in the uterine cavity and appears to act like a birth control ring, making it difficult for a woman to conceive, or if she does conceive, she may have a miscarriage or a preterm delivery. Patients can be treated surgically to remove the mediastinum and restore the normal shape of the uterus.
Uterine mediastinum is usually treated with hysteroscopic surgery. Through the lens of the hysteroscope, the lesions in the uterus can be visualized, and then through instruments, the mediastinum can be removed, and the uterine cavity can also be observed at the same time to see if there are any other abnormalities, preparing the woman for pregnancy.
After the surgery of uterine mediastinum, if the trauma is too large, adhesion of the uterine cavity may occur. Therefore, hysteroscopic exploration should be carried out within 2 months after the operation to prevent and deal with uterine adhesions in time.
