If you press on the pubic bone and experience pain or feel a pit in the middle of the bone, the pubic bone is separated. The reason for the separation of the pubic bone is that at the end of pregnancy, hormonal changes in the body cause the ligaments to loosen in preparation for childbirth. This is a normal phenomenon and does not require special attention. If the pain is caused by separation of the pubic bone, it can be relieved by using a lap band to slightly tighten the bone and by increasing rest in the lying position to avoid the stomach falling on the pubic area. If separation cannot be measured but pain occurs, it may be caused by osteoporosis and excessive laxity of the ligaments, and calcium supplementation and sun exposure will help with pain management. If separation of the pubic bone has already occurred, there is no better solution because it is more important to prepare for delivery and there is no way to avoid pelvic separation. Therefore, the recovery should be gradual by intensifying the exercise after delivery.
