What’s the pain in the abdomen when you press on it?

Abdominal pressure pain is related to the location of the pain, commonly appendicitis, cholecystitis, gallbladder stones, gastritis, gastric ulcer and pancreatitis.
1. Appendicitis is often characterized by pressure pain in the right lower abdominal area at the Meyers’ point, which may be accompanied by significant abdominal distension or vomiting. Some patients may also present with epigastric pain around the umbilicus, which after a few hours shifts to the right lower abdomen with fixed pressure pain and progressive aggravation, requiring prompt surgical treatment.
2. Cholecystitis and gallbladder stones are usually characterized by tenderness in the right upper abdomen, often after overeating or eating only cholesterol-rich foods, and rebound tenderness and muscle tension after the progression to peritonitis.
3. gastritis and gastric ulcer and other gastric diseases, the pressure point is in the middle-upper abdomen or on the left side, and the patient may be accompanied by acid reflux, belching (hiccups) and other symptoms.
4. Pancreatitis is often manifested as pressure pain in the middle and upper abdomen, and patients often have overeating behavior before abdominal pain, which requires timely abdominal puncture to clarify the cause of the disease and treat it as early as possible.
Patients with abdominal pressure pain should seek medical treatment in time.
