Symptoms of headache on Rosuvastatin are mainly due to side effects of Rosuvastatin. This drug is a lipid-lowering drug that mainly controls atherosclerosis in the cardiovascular as well as cerebral blood vessels. This drug also has the side effect of causing dizziness, or gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. If a patient develops headaches while taking this medication, it is recommended that the dose of the medication be reduced to half a tablet orally or replaced with another lipid-lowering medication, such as atorvastatin. Patients should drink plenty of water while taking oral lipid-lowering medication, and should not eat spicy and stimulating foods or drink alcohol, as these will aggravate the side effects of the medication.
