How to read an EKG report card

The ECG report often contains changes in the heart rhythm, electrical axis, and QRS and T waves, which need to be combined to determine whether the ECG is normal or what kind of abnormality.
1. Rhythm: Normal rhythm is sinus rhythm, while the rest, such as ventricular rhythm, atrial rhythm, atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, etc., are abnormal rhythms.
2. Electrocardiographic axis: the electrocardiographic axis in normal physiological conditions can be shown as normal electrocardiographic axis, electrocardiographic axis left deviation or electrocardiographic axis right deviation, for the electrocardiographic axis left deviation or electrocardiographic axis right deviation of the patient, need to be combined with other clinical information to determine whether it is a physiological phenomenon.
3. QRS wave and T wave: Pathological Q wave, ST-segment elevation or depression, T-wave inversion and other descriptions are abnormal, usually representing myocardial ischemia or necrosis, which need to be further analyzed by the doctor with clinical analysis to make a diagnosis.
After the ECG examination, patients need to go to the doctor for follow-up and further examination and treatment under the doctor’s guidance.
