Why was breast cancer detected when the mammogram was fine?

Although mammography is the main screening tool for breast cancer, it is currently not 100% accurate, i.e. there are breast cancers that cannot be detected by mammography. The main screening methods for breast cancer include imaging examination and pathologic biopsy. 1. Imaging examination: including molybdenum X-ray, CT, magnetic resonance, ultrasound and PET-CT. Molybdenum X-ray is the most widely used screening tool, CT and magnetic resonance are important supplementary tools, ultrasound can be early screening of breast masses, PET-CT can accurately reflect the metabolism of the tissue. 2. Pathological biopsy: It is the “gold standard” for tumor diagnosis. By removing the diseased tissues, after pathological examination, the diagnosis can be clear. Breast cancer screening requires a combination of tests, which can be done in regular hospitals and evaluated by professional doctors.
