The causes of elevated thyroid hormone are as follows: 1. Physiological conditions: as the body needs less thyroid hormone with age, thyroid stimulating hormone will gradually increase, but as long as it is within the normal range, no intervention is needed; 2. Pathological conditions: commonly seen in hypothyroidism, which manifests as hypometabolic syndrome, such as fear of cold, less movement and laziness, and reduced eating, requiring thyroid hormone supplementation. The level of thyroid hormone control varies at different ages. Elevated thyroid hormones are not obviously harmful and should be judged on an individual basis to determine whether intervention is needed.
