What is the meaning of retention of urine

Retention of urine (癃闭) is a disease characterized by difficulty in urination, distension and pain in the lower abdomen, or even obstruction of urine. Retention of urine means that the urine does not flow smoothly and comes out in drips and drops, and the disease is slow; closure of urine means that the urine wants to be relieved but can’t, and it is difficult to pass the urine with distension and urgency, and the disease is more urgent.
Etiology:
Heat in the lower Jiao accumulates in the bladder, or kidney heat moves to the bladder. Heat in the bladder, qi and chemical failure, resulting in urinary closure.
Kidney and bladder as each other, bladder qi depends on the warmth of kidney yang, kidney yang insufficiency, the fate of fire failure (body kidney yang weakness, warm and promote the function of qi and blood operation is reduced), can lead to the bladder qi has no right, and drowning can not be out.
Bruises and injuries, as well as after surgery, stagnation of meridians and channels, or damage to organs, resulting in inability to urinate.
Retention of urine can be treated with traditional Chinese medicine by identifying the symptoms of bladder dampness and heat, lung heat and congestion, liver depression and stagnation of qi, turbid and stagnant obstruction, lack of elevation of spleen qi, and exhaustion of kidney yang.
