High white blood cell neutrophils are a sign of the following diseases: 1. Infectious diseases, tonsillitis, bronchopneumonia, cholecystitis, appendicitis, acute enteritis, or pyelonephritis, can show high white blood cell neutrophils. In addition, extensive tissue damage or necrosis, such as severe trauma, surgical trauma, or large burns, can also present with high neutrophils. High neutrophils can also occur in diabetic ketoacidosis or uremic syndrome, or in vegetative mushroom poisoning, as well as in snake venom.
