How orthodontic surgery is done

The steps of orthodontic surgery are: 1) taking full-mouth surface tomograms and cephalometric films, taking orthodontic and lateral photographs, making observation models, analyzing data, and formulating orthodontic plans; 2) removing wisdom teeth and first and second premolar teeth according to orthodontic needs; 3) for fixed orthodontic treatment, attachments such as brackets and buccal surface tubes need to be bonded on the labial side of the teeth, ligating and fixing nickel-titanium archwires, using the elasticity of the archwires to pull the teeth to move, and for invisible orthodontic treatment, wearing printed transparent aligners to push the teeth to move gradually; 4) removing aligners and wearing retainers to prevent teeth from rebounding and shifting after orthodontic treatment is completed.
