How to remove the ureteral stent tube

The endoureteral stent tube needs to be removed under cystoscopy. The patient is placed flat on the examination bed in the lithotomy position, and after strict sterilization with a sterile towel, surface anesthetic is squeezed from the external urethral orifice for 5 minutes. The cystoscope kit was then inserted smoothly along the physiological arc of the urethra from the external urethral opening, and the bladder was filled with sterile saline to observe the situation in the bladder, and the caudal end of the ureteral stent tube was visible at the bilateral ureteral opening, and a foreign body clamp was placed from the operating channel to accurately clamp the caudal end of the ureteral stent tube. The cystoscope was then withdrawn and the ureteral stent tubes were removed together. After removal of the ureteral stent tube, the patient should drink more water and urinate more frequently to avoid infection.
