Symptoms of mild intestinal obstruction

Symptoms of mild intestinal obstruction include abdominal pain and distension, vomiting, and difficulty in passing gas and stool.
1. Abdominal pain and distension: when mechanical intestinal obstruction occurs, strong intestinal peristalsis occurs above the obstruction site, which triggers abdominal pain. In paralytic intestinal obstruction, the intestinal wall muscles are paralyzed, so there is no paroxysmal colic, only persistent distension or discomfort. Abdominal distension usually occurs after abdominal pain, and the degree of abdominal distension is related to the location of intestinal obstruction.
2. Vomiting: Vomiting usually occurs earlier and more frequently in high level obstruction, while vomiting occurs later in low level intestinal obstruction.
3. Difficulty in passing gas and feces: In mild intestinal obstruction, gas and feces can still be passed, but the volume or frequency of stool is reduced.
If patients have similar symptoms, it is recommended to seek medical treatment in time to avoid aggravation of the condition.
