How soon can you go down after fracture surgery

How long it takes to get off the ground after fracture surgery cannot be generalized and should be judged by the fracture site and the formation of bone scabs at the fracture end. For uncomplicated fractures, such as hand fractures, the patient can usually get down to the ground after surgery and has no difficulty walking; for leg fractures, after effective treatment, the patient can form a bone scab in about 2-3 months and can get down to the ground with the assistance of a walker. For complex fractures, such as hip, spine and pelvis fractures, it may take longer to recover after surgery, usually 3-6 months for the bone scabs to grow on the fracture end and for the patient to move around. However, regardless of the type of fracture, it is best for the patient to go to the hospital for imaging tests such as X-rays before getting out of bed, and to get out of bed under the guidance of a doctor to prevent other accidents. In addition, if the patient is older, in poorer health, or has a combination of other diseases, the formation of bone scabs at the fracture end may be slower and the time to get out of bed may be later.
