Ethambutol is one of the important anti-tuberculosis drugs, which has an antibacterial effect on tuberculosis bacteria, and is often used in combination with other anti-tuberculosis drugs to enhance the efficacy of other drugs and delay the development of drug resistance of other tuberculosis drugs. The adverse reactions are as follows: 1) optic nerve damage, which is mainly manifested by eye swelling and pain, foreign body sensation in the eyes, blurred vision, reduced visual acuity, and reduced color discrimination; 2) peripheral neuritis, which is manifested by numbness at the end of the limbs and an anthrax sensation; 3) allergic reactions, which are manifested by rash, itching, and even fever.
