What causes bedwetting in adult men

Adult male bedwetting may be physiological, may also be caused by pathological factors such as filling incontinence, true incontinence and so on.
1. Physiological factors: if adult men work under pressure, overwork during the day, and sleep into a deep sleep at night, it may lead to occasional symptoms of bedwetting once in a while, and they will mostly wake up after urination, and the symptoms can disappear after ensuring rest and avoiding exertion.
2. Pathologic factors:
(1) filling incontinence: such as prostatic hyperplasia, urethral injury, etc. can cause severe mechanical obstruction or functional obstruction of the lower urinary tract, resulting in urinary retention, at this time, the pressure within the bladder exceeds the urethral resistance, urine can flow out of the urethra, which may be manifested as the symptom of bedwetting in adult males.
(2) Genuine urinary incontinence: trauma, surgery and other causes of bladder sphincter injury or neurological dysfunction, in which the bladder sphincter loses the ability to control urine, leading to adult male bedwetting symptoms.
For adult males with long-term symptoms of bedwetting, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time to find out the cause of bedwetting and actively treat it so as not to delay the condition.
