There are many causes of low back pain, and there is a saying that “patients have low back pain, doctors have headaches”, which means that the causes of low back pain are so complicated that doctors sometimes cannot find the real cause of it. However, as a clinician, I can tell you for sure that the most common causes of low back pain are as follows: first, chronic strain of the lumbar muscle; second, fasciitis of the lumbar back; third, lumbar disc herniation; fourth, lumbar spondylolisthesis; fifth, infection of the lumbar spine; sixth, tuberculosis of the lumbar spine; seventh, pelvic fracture of the lumbar spine and so on, all of which can produce low back pain.
