What is the cause of abdominal pain in early pregnancy?

If there is pain in the small abdomen in early pregnancy, it may be preterm miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy or pelvic inflammatory disease, appendicitis, etc. If an ultrasound has been done before to confirm that the pregnancy is intrauterine, and now the pain in the small abdomen occurs, you need to do ultrasound again to check whether there is a preterm miscarriage, and if it is a preterm miscarriage, you need to actively preserve the pregnancy. If the pain is in the right side of the abdomen, ultrasound should be done to check whether there is adnexitis or appendicitis. If it is acute adnexitis, antibiotics should be applied to treat it, usually cephalosporin antibiotics and quinolone antibiotics are chosen; if it is acute appendicitis, even during pregnancy, surgery should be performed in time, and laparoscopic surgery can be taken. If the pregnancy is not previously determined to be intrauterine and abdominal pain occurs in early pregnancy, ectopic pregnancy cannot be excluded. Vaginal ultrasound or blood sampling for human chorionic gonadotropin can be done, and if it is determined to be ectopic, conservative treatment can be performed first.
