If the patient’s current systolic blood pressure is 80 mmHg it is abnormal, it is hypotensive, and cardiogenic shock can occur at any time. If the patient’s current diastolic blood pressure is 80 mmHg, it is normal. However, according to the latest guidelines for diagnosing hypertension, the diastolic blood pressure should not be greater than or equal to 80 mmHg. If the diastolic blood pressure is 80 mmHg, there is currently no risk to the patient. It is recommended that patients can improve through lifestyle, interventions to control systolic blood pressure between greater than 65mmHg and less than 80mmHg is ideal. If the patient has a systolic blood pressure of 80 mmHg, give antihypertensive treatment. Patients are advised to dose dopamine, and ginseng injection, to help elevate blood pressure. In other patients, there may be a family genetic cause of hypotension and the patient may not have any symptoms. It is important to monitor blood pressure regularly and avoid any medications or foods that affect blood pressure.
