Shimen acupoint is on the front center line, two inches below the umbilicus. It is mainly used for the treatment of abdominal pain, diarrhea, edema, hernia, urinary incontinence, enuresis, amenorrhea, leucorrhea, metrorrhagia (excessive menstrual flow or dribbling), and postpartum hemorrhage. It should be noted that moxibustion is not recommended for women during pregnancy.
