Intestinal chemosis is a pathological change in gastroscopy, and according to the instruction of Shu Liver and Stomach Pill, it is a proprietary Chinese medicine to ease the liver and harmonize the stomach, and has no role in treating intestinal chemosis. Shu Liver and Stomach Pill is composed of ginger-roasted Houpu, vinegar-roasted Xiangsui, cinnamon, chickpea, and grass nutmeg. It has the effects of dredging the liver and regulating qi (regulating the stagnation of liver qi), strengthening the stomach and eliminating food. It is used in treating fullness and stuffiness in the chest and ribs, fullness and distension after eating, pain in the stomach and epigastric region, regurgitation of stomach and swallowing of acid (swallowing the acid in the stomach that goes up to the oropharynx), and constipation of the bowels. There is no treatment for intestinal chemosis. It should be noted that pregnant women should not take; avoid emotional excitement or sulking; should not be taken at the same time with ginseng-containing components of the drug; is not applicable to children, old and frail people, mainly manifested as tiredness, weakness, shortness of breath and sleepiness. Those who are examined and found to have intestinal chemosis should follow the doctor’s instructions for regular review.
