What’s going on with the arm weakness?

Weakness and tenderness of the arm may be caused by cervical spondylosis, excessive exercise, brachial plexus nerve injury and Guillain-Barré disease.
1. Cervical spondylosis: If cervical spondylosis causes long-term nerve root compression and damage, it can lead to motor and sensory disorders of the nerves, and the weakness and tenderness of the innervated arm is a manifestation of motor dysfunction.
2. Excessive exercise: after strenuous activities or excessive exercise, the arm will be overworked and weakened due to excessive exercise beyond the tolerance range, which can be relieved after resting and is a reversible injury.
3. Brachial Plexus Nerve Injury: It may cause motor or sensory impairment of the upper limb on the affected side, such as weakness and tenderness of the arm, sensory numbness or hypesthesia, etc. Most of the injuries are caused by trauma.
3. Guillain-Barré disease: it is an autoimmune-mediated peripheral neuropathy, which is characterized by symmetrical bradykinesia of the limbs, accompanied by sensory abnormalities of the limbs, facial paralysis, autonomic dysfunction, etc. The symptoms of Guillain-Barré disease include: weakness and tenderness of the arms, numbness or hypesthesia of the affected upper limbs.
The causes of arm weakness and tenderness are relatively numerous, and it is recommended to clarify the specific causes in regular hospitals and receive standardized treatment.
