How many years does it take for a liver cyst to become cancerous

Liver cysts are benign liver lesions that do not usually turn malignant into cancer.
Liver cysts are a common benign liver disease, and the causes of formation include congenital factors, parasitic infections, inflammation, and trauma. The most common clinical condition is congenital liver cysts. At present, liver cysts are not found to have cancerous tendency.
There are many causes of liver cancer, such as long-term alcoholism, cirrhosis, chronic hepatitis, smoking, schistosome infection, certain poisons such as aflatoxin, nitrosamines, carbon tetrachloride, phenol and so on. The most common cause in China is cirrhosis of the liver caused by chronic hepatitis B. There is no clinical evidence that liver cysts are related to liver cancer.
As a benign disease, liver cysts usually do not need special treatment if they are small in size or have no obvious symptoms. Surgery should be considered only if the cysts increase in size and cause compression symptoms or complications such as infection and bleeding.
It is recommended to go to the hospital and ask a professional doctor to evaluate the condition and decide the specific treatment measures.
