Dilatation of the milk ducts is also known as mammary duct dilatation, and further development of the disease may occur in the form of dilatation of the milk ducts with acute and chronic inflammation, breast abscess, granulomatous mastitis and other conditions. 1. Dilatation of breast ducts with acute and chronic inflammation: the accumulation of material in the ducts increases, the inflammatory infiltration and fibrous tissue proliferation in the duct walls increase, and the ducts are destroyed; when the inflammation is obvious, the skin on the surface of the lump is red and swollen, and it may be accompanied by localized pain, and ultrasonography shows that there are small liquid dark zones and scattered strong echogenic spots or spots in the hypoechoic lumps. 2. Breast abscess: the abscess is usually in the areola area, and may also form multiple abscesses around the nipple or form a large inflammatory mass. The surface skin is mostly red and swollen, local pressure pain, fluctuating sensation, the same side of the axilla can be found in the enlarged lymph nodes. Abscess puncture can extract thick, bloody pus, mostly odorless, bacterial culture is often no bacterial growth. 3. Granulomatous mastitis: A lump of stiff texture may be present, which may be associated with pain and may be accompanied by enlarged lymph nodes in the axilla of the same side.
