What’s wrong with strabismus and dizziness after surgery?

Eye strabismus surgery and still strabismus dizziness may be due to postoperative eye muscle incoordination, surgical infection, fundus hemorrhage and so on. 1. Strabismus surgery mainly targets the extraocular muscles, shortening or migrating the extraocular muscles to change the rotation of the eyeball during vision. When the recovery time after surgery is too short, the extraocular muscles have not yet been trained for vision, and they cannot cooperate with each other effectively, so you will have dizziness and discomfort when you see things. 2. Strabismus surgery may be complicated by infection after surgery, which may cause increase in intraocular pressure and interfere with optic nerve function, accompanied by eye pain, headache and other glaucoma manifestations. To treat the infection, antibiotics such as levofloxacin should be used first, and then intraocular pressure-lowering drugs such as brinzolamide should be used. 3. Surgical overcorrection: e.g. exotropia becomes endotropia after surgery, or endotropia becomes exotropia after surgery. Postoperative diplopia dizziness may occur. Mild postoperative diplopia does not need to be treated and can be corrected by surgery again if necessary. It is recommended that when dizziness occurs after eye strabismus surgery, reflect to the doctor in time, clarify the cause after visual acuity, visual field, intraocular pressure and fundus examination, and treat the cause.
