Lung examinations are usually better with CT than MRI, but one cannot generalize. CT examination is through the X-ray imaging principle of the main technical imaging. The resolution of lung tissue is higher, and it can observe the structure of lung texture, lung blood vessels, bronchial tubes, mediastinum and other structures in more detail, and it can also have a clear display of small nodules, lung shadows, lung occupancy, etc. Especially lung enhancement CT is often used to assist in determining the benignity or malignancy of the nodules. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) utilizes a magnetic field to form an image by acquiring signals and reorganizing information in a computer. It has higher resolution for chest blood vessels, soft tissues, etc. However, due to the predominance of gas in the lungs, MRI often fails to show specific structures or foci, and MRI of the lungs will require holding your breath for a longer period of time, and MRI of the lungs is generally not as effective as doing CT. If you need to check your lungs, you should go to the hospital and have your doctor choose the appropriate test according to the purpose of the test, so as not to delay your condition.
