The success rate of esophageal atresia surgery is about 90%. The situation of esophageal atresia surgery depends on strict respiratory management, which is the key to the final success of the procedure, and therefore must be meticulously cared for with regular blood gas analysis and appropriate use of respiratory therapies, such as the administration of oxygen, nebulization or ventilator application. It is also related to the general condition of the infant, the type of malformation, the distance between the two ends of the esophagus, the presence of other severe malformations, the presence of pulmonary complications, and the proper management before and after surgery.
