Tuberculosis spheres, also known as tuberculomas, generally have an average diameter of 2 cm or more and contain a large number of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. In general, when the resistance of the body decreases and the viability of the induced mycobacteria increases, and the mycobacteria inside the tuberculosis spheres will progress and spread outward and develop. The treatment at this time is still based on anti-tuberculosis drug therapy, such as choosing isoniazid, rifampin, ethambutol, pyrazinamide, streptomycin, levofloxacin, butalbital kanamycin and other full, moderate, regular, combined drug therapy, which usually requires treatment for 6 months, or even more than a year. If the diameter of the tuberculosis ball becomes larger and larger than 3 cm, surgical removal can be considered. After the surgery, a period of anti-tuberculosis treatment should be continued for 6-12 months, or even longer, depending on the condition, before a cure can be achieved.
