How to use sodium chloride injection

Sodium chloride injection is a blood substitute and perfusion solution, which can be used intravenously or externally with saline for flushing the eyes, washing wounds, and inducing labor with a water bladder in obstetrics. Sodium chloride injection can be used for various causes of drowsiness, hypertonic non-ketotic diabetic coma, hypochlorhydria metabolic alkalosis, topical use to wash wounds or eyes, obstetrics, water balloon induction of labor and so on. Generally there are no adverse effects with the use of sodium chloride injection, if used inappropriately for example, too fast or too much administration may lead to increased blood pressure, headache, dizziness, weight gain, edema. Increased heart rate, chest tightness, dyspnea. This product should be contraindicated if the patient is pulmonary edema, heart failure, cerebral edema, increased intracranial pressure, ascites in cirrhosis, hypernatremia, oliguric phase of acute renal failure, and chronic renal failure but does not respond well to diuretics.
