The clouding under the posterior capsule of the lens may be related to aging, abnormal glucose metabolism, trauma and other conditions.
1. Aging: with age, the metabolic function of the lens decreases, which can lead to the phenomenon of degeneration and turbidity under the posterior capsule, and usually patients will have blurred vision, photophobia and other symptoms.
2. Abnormal glucose metabolism: diabetes can make the body’s sugar metabolism abnormal, intracellular permeability increases, which makes the lens fiber swelling after the turbidity phenomenon.
3. Trauma: under normal circumstances, the lens is wrapped up by the envelope, when the eye is hit, explosion and other external impact, may lead to lens capsule rupture, aqueous humor into the cortex, thus causing lens turbidity.
Clouding of the lens below the posterior capsule needs to be examined in a timely manner in the hospital, after clarifying the condition, standardized treatment, so as not to cause serious consequences.
