Patients who have frequent pain in their tonsils in their lives are likely to have a lot of scar formation due to repeated inflammation of the tonsils, and there will be tiny pus plugs inside. Sometimes patients will see a white substance on the surface after opening their mouths, indicating the presence of many bacteria inside. Especially when the patient eats overly hot, spicy, and greasy food, it will be stimulating for the patient’s tonsils, and the bacteria may be active, causing the patient’s tonsils to be congested and have pain. It is recommended to always actively rinse the mouth after eating, preferably with light saline or compound tinidazole solution, to reduce the chance of anaerobic bacterial infection. If the patient’s pain does not disappear after symptomatic treatment, it is best to go to the hospital for examination and, if necessary, to have the patient’s tonsils removed bilaterally.
