What is soft tissue resection surgery

Soft tissue excisions are usually subcutaneous masses, including lipomas, sebaceous cysts, and fibroadenomas, among others. Because these tissues usually occur within the subcutaneous fatty tissue, they may also occur in the muscle and are usually soft in texture. For small masses, they can be removed under local anesthesia; for larger masses, continuous epidural anesthesia is required. After the surface is disinfected with iodophor, the anesthesia becomes effective and the incision is made along the skin line. After the blunt and sharp separation to reveal the mass, the mass is completely removed and sent for pathological examination to clarify the nature of the mass, the surgical wound is hemostatic, and then suturing is performed.
