There are two main imaging methods for congenital megacolon, and their imaging performances are as follows:1. X-ray abdominal standing plain film: it can find the dilatation of the diseased intestinal tube, pneumatosis, fluid accumulation, and there can be gas-liquid planes, which is mainly a typical manifestation of low intestinal obstruction;2. X-ray barium enema: it can observe that there are stenotic segments, migratory segments and dilatation segments of the intestinal tube, and there can be migratory segments between stenotic and dilatation segments. If we observe the discharge of barium, we can find that most of the children have delayed discharge of barium, and some of them even have barium residue after 24-48 h. X-ray abdominal plain film is a relatively simple examination, and X-ray barium enema can observe the shape of the colon and the discharge of barium of the children, which is more accurate than X-ray abdominal plain film.
