Dreams during sleep and difficulty waking up may be caused by the occurrence of nightmares, which are related to the individual’s mental stress and mood state. If the patient is chronically stressed, overly tired, or has irregular rest and relaxation, it can lead to disorders of the vegetative nerves and can cause similar symptoms. If the patient is chronically malnourished with anemia, hypotension, and hypoglycemia, the symptoms will be aggravated during the sleep period because the body itself consumes energy, which will affect the normal pumping function of the heart and lead to mild ischemia and hypoxia in the cranium, which will also cause similar symptoms. Patients with cold, fever, or diseases of the nasopharynx can lead to poor airway circulation, which can also affect normal physiological or psychological reactions and make it difficult to wake up after dreaming, especially after nightmares. Prompt treatment is needed and psychological counseling can be provided if necessary.
