What is glomerulonephritis in children

Children’s glomerulonephritis is a general term for a group of diseases with hematuria, proteinuria, edema, high blood pressure and other kidney injuries as the main manifestations. Children’s glomerulonephritis more common are acute glomerulonephritis, chronic glomerulonephritis. Acute glomerulonephritis is mainly caused by streptococcus and other pathogenic infections, is a self-limiting disease, most of which can be fully recovered after bed rest and symptomatic treatment. Chronic glomerulonephritis, which is relatively severe, may require treatment with glucocorticoids or other immunosuppressive agents, such as prednisone acetate, cyclosporine, tacrolimus, and merti-macrolide. Children once found glomerulonephritis, need to improve the relevant examination, if necessary, renal puncture biopsy, clear diagnosis and then targeted treatment.
