The three stages of liver abscess generally refer to the early, intermediate and late stages of ultrasonographic classification. 1. Early stage (atypical stage): the lesion is atypical, the abscess wall has not been formed, and it manifests itself as limited hypoechoicity with unclear boundary. 2. Middle stage: the abscess has been formed, the abscess wall becomes irregular, the boundary is still unclear, and the inner wall is not smooth. 3. Late stage: the lesion gradually shrinks, newborn liver tissue and necrotic tissue coexist, the echogenicity is uneven, the abscess wall is thick and echogenic. When patients suspect that there is liver abscess, they need to actively go to the hospital, improve the imaging examination, ultrasound is not clear, can be improved CT examination or MRI, etc., according to the results of the examination to formulate the next step of the treatment program.
