Nitinol is generally not carcinogenic. Ni-Ti alloys are shape memory alloys with a variety of excellent characteristics such as shape memory function, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance, and can be used to meet the needs of engineering and medical applications. Nitinol does not normally cause cellular irritation and the possibility of causing cancer is very low and usually not a cause for undue concern. The cause of cancer is not yet known and may be related to factors such as heredity and long-term exposure to carcinogens such as asbestos aflatoxin. When patients use Nitinol properly under a doctor’s supervision, it does not cause any noticeable effects on the body. When patients feel uncomfortable symptoms during the use of Nitinol, they should go to the hospital in time to take appropriate treatment.
