The treatment of follicular hyperplastic pharyngitis, i.e. chronic hypertrophic pharyngitis, includes removing the cause of the disease, general treatment, medication and physical therapy.
1. Remove the cause of the disease: treat chronic inflammation of the nose and nasopharynx as well as acute pharyngitis.
2. General treatment: improve the living and working environment, such as avoiding dust and harmful gases, quitting smoking and alcohol, correcting constipation.
3. Drug treatment: commonly used compound borax solution, furacilin solution gargle to clean the oral cavity, can also be used iodine throat tablets, peppermint throat tablets, tylosin tablets, watermelon cream tablets and so on. Chemical cauterization of lymphoid follicles can choose 20% silver nitrate solution or chromic acid.
4. Physical therapy: laser cauterization of lymphoid follicles in the posterior wall of the pharynx is more commonly used nowadays, which is less painful and has good therapeutic effect. Radiofrequency treatment of lymphoid follicles can also achieve good results. Transhepatotherapy, ultraviolet irradiation, ultrasonic nebulization therapy is also helpful in its treatment.
Patients with chronic hypertrophic pharyngitis should not use medication on their own, but should go to the hospital in time and receive standardized treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
