Use second-line antituberculosis drugs with caution if: 1. You have not yet determined whether the tuberculosis you have is drug-resistant – second-line antituberculosis drugs can be used in patients with multidrug-resistant tuberculosis. 2, you are already retreated tuberculosis – you can consider using second-line anti-tuberculosis drugs. 3.If you are a first treatment patient, don’t rush on second-line drugs when you don’t have or can’t determine whether you are drug-resistant, perhaps because the lesion is too huge and the drugs can’t enter the lesion and work! At this time with surgical treatment, coupled with first-line drugs, may be good. 4.Even if you are not willing to try surgery or minor surgical treatment, try not to take second-line drugs unless you really have acute tuberculosis, or you cannot take tuberculosis drugs by mouth and need to use second-line drugs by intravenous injection. 5. Unsupported indiscriminate use of second-line drugs may make you multidrug-resistant or extensively multidrug-resistant. 6.Comprehensive treatment of tuberculosis, including surgery, always has a better prognosis than the abuse of second-line drugs. 7. Don’t stop or use second-line drugs easily when the first course of treatment is over for first-time patients but lesions are still left.
