Urodynamics in women involves checking urodynamics, pressure, flow and sphincter function. The urodynamic examination in women requires a special examination bed, exposure of the urethra as well as the rectum, a urethral manometer tube in the urethra and a rectal manometer tube in the rectum, followed by bladder irrigation with saline, and special instruments to start measuring and recording the pressure. The urodynamic examination in women is able to determine whether the contractility of the urinary bladder muscle is normal, and to check for conditions such as urethral obstruction. It is also able to observe urinary tract lesions in the urinary bladder, ureters, and renal pelvis, as well as assessing the lesions in question by the flow of urine, and the ability of the muscles to contract.
