The lesions are mostly limited to one side of the tonsils, the lesions are covered with a thick and dirty pseudomembrane, yellow or grayish-white, composed of necrotic material for ulcers, easy to swab, swabbing the ulcerated surface with small bleeding spots. Penicillin is effective against the pathogenic bacteria of this disease. It usually heals within 1 to 2 weeks.
