Cephalosporin and Roxithromycin which is better to reduce inflammation

Cephalosporin and Roxithromycin are both antibiotics, their antibacterial spectrum is different, the anti-inflammatory effect is not comparable. As for which one is more effective in reducing inflammation, it is related to the type of bacteria the patient is infected with.
1. Cephalosporin antibiotics: beta-lactam antibiotics. Because of the low drug resistance rate and strong antibacterial activity, they are widely used in clinical practice, mainly for the treatment of infections caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Gonococcus gonorrhoeae, Escherichia coli, Enterobacter cloacae, Klebsiella, Haemophilus influenzae, and so on.
Cephalosporin antibiotics are mostly used in the clinic to treat pneumonia, urinary tract infection, otitis media and other diseases caused by the above sensitive bacteria. If there is no cephalosporin allergy, the side effects are relatively small.
2. Roxithromycin: a semi-synthetic macrolide antibiotic. It is sensitive to most of the rod-shaped bacteria, streptococcus, legionella, etc. It is also sensitive to some anaerobic bacteria and toxoplasmosis. For some anaerobic bacteria and toxoplasmosis, mycoplasma, chlamydia, etc. also have good antibacterial effect.
Clinically, Roxithromycin is used to treat infections in the urinary tract, respiratory tract and soft tissues caused by the above sensitive bacteria. Relative to cephalosporin antibiotics digestive tract symptoms of the side effects are relatively large, but such as targeting the infection of mycoplasma, chlamydia is more advantageous.
If possible, it is recommended to do bacterial culture or drug sensitivity test, or by the specialist doctor according to the clinical symptoms of the selection of appropriate antibiotic treatment, follow the doctor’s prescription medication.
