Infants with dry eczema appear dry, rough and flaky during this period. Infants with dry eczema experience varying degrees of itchiness, mainly due to the loss of skin moisture less sebum production, and the rash appears dry, red, and scaly. In severe cases, the appearance of fluid may occur upon touching.
