Doing a resection under gastroscope requires a specialized physician to operate the gastroscope and perform precise resection of the lesions in the stomach under the view of the gastroscope.
Gastroscopic surgery is an effective means of treating diseases such as gastric polyps and generally requires fasting for more than eight hours before surgery. Under anesthesia or non-anesthesia, the gastroscope is slowly inserted into the stomach along the oropharynx and esophagus, and the surgeon can observe the lesions in the stomach from the image detected by the gastroscope probe.
After clarifying the condition of the lesion in the stomach, the surgeon can operate the gastroscope to remove the lesion with biopsy forceps and other instruments such as loopers, and then stop the bleeding with electrocoagulators and other instruments. This procedure has been widely used in clinical practice because of its low bleeding and low physical burden on the patient.
