Can I get a breast patch for my EKG?

Breast patches are not recommended for EKGs.
An ECG is a test that records the electrical activity of the heart through small electrode pads attached to the skin of the chest, arms and legs. Since some of the chest leads are positioned in close proximity to the breast patches, they may interfere with the ECG recording to a certain extent and affect the results of the test, therefore breast patches are not recommended for ECG.
In addition, greasy body lotions need to be avoided on the day of the ECG examination to prevent interference with the electrode-skin contact, and stockings need to be avoided as the electrodes need to be applied directly to the skin of the legs.
ECG is a quick, safe, painless and inexpensive test that is often recommended by doctors if a patient suspects heart disease.
