Gui Zhi Poria Poria Angelica Sinensis and Astragalus membranaceus

Gui Zhi has the efficacy of warming the meridians, sweating and relieving muscles (relieving evil qi from the surface of the skin); Poria has the efficacy of inducing diuresis, tonifying the spleen and stopping diarrhea, and nourishing the heart and tranquilizing the mind; Angelica Sinensis has the efficacy of nourishing the blood, invigorating the blood, moistening the dryness and sliding the intestines; and Astragalus Membranaceus has the efficacy of tonifying qi and solidifying the surface of the skin (consolidating the surface of the muscle by tonifying the qi), and diuretic.
Gui Zhi is an antidepressant and can be used to treat external wind-cold syndrome of surface deficiency (a syndrome characterized by fever, coldness, sweating, weakness, etc.), phlegm-drinking (pathological product formed by impaired metabolism of water and fluid), water-storage syndrome (a syndrome characterized by dysuria, distention of the abdomen, thirst for water, vomiting after drinking, etc.), palpitation, etc. It is forbidden to be taken by those who have high fever in febrile illnesses, Yin deficiency and fire exuberance, and blood heat.
Poria is a water-inducing and dampness-permeating (promoting the flow of water to dispel dampness) type of Chinese medicine, which can be used clinically to treat various kinds of edema, dysuria (unruly urination), phlegm-drinking palpitations (dizziness and palpitations due to phlegm-drinking and evil qi upstream), loose stools in a deficient spleen (scanty and irregular stools), palpitations, and insomnia. It is not recommended for people with deficiency cold and slippery semen or Qi deficiency.
Angelica sinensis is a blood tonic Chinese medicine, which can be used to treat irregular menstruation, abdominal pain with menstrual closure, headache with blood deficiency, dizziness, and difficulty in passing stools due to dryness of intestines. It should not be taken by those who have dampness obstruction, fullness and loose stools.
Astragalus is a qi tonic traditional Chinese medicine, which can be used for qi deficiency and fatigue, loose stools with little food, sinking of qi in the middle chamber (deficiency of qi in the spleen and stomach, with the appearance of internal organs falling down), prolonged diarrhea and prolapse of the anus, and blood in the stools and leakage of blood (excessive menstrual flow or more than a few drops).
Gui Zhi, Poria, Angelica Sinensis, Astragalus are commonly used Chinese herbs, the adverse effects are not clear, it is recommended to standardize the use of medication under the guidance of a doctor.
