Intestinal atrophy is not a particularly serious disease, but it is considered to be caused by mental or endocrine factors that lead to atrophy of the intestinal mucosal glands, including atrophy of the intestinal villi, causing intestinal dysfunction. The main clinical manifestations are degeneration of the gastrointestinal tract, absorption disorders, and anemia, emaciation, and malnutrition as the disease lengthens. Villi atrophy of the intestine is also a manifestation of gastrointestinal tract with cancer syndrome, which should be alerted. The main manifestation is the aggravation of hypoproteinemia and edema, which will lead to diarrhea, water loss and electrolyte disorder, and will lead to shock in serious cases.
