Symptoms that may appear at the terminal stage of advanced bowel cancer include extreme lethargy, large amount of ascites, severe pain, mental symptoms and so on. 1. Extreme lethargy: patients with advanced bowel cancer often have serious difficulty in eating, and cancer itself is a consumptive disease, thus patients with advanced cancer have serious malnutrition before death, which is manifested as extreme lethargy, anemia, weakness or even cachexia. 2. Symptoms of large amount of ascites: Bowel cancer in advanced stage can have extensive abdominal metastasis and produce large amount of ascites, which is manifested as severe respiratory difficulties, abdominal distension, and so on. 3. Severe pain: multiple metastases of advanced bowel cancer can cause nerve compression and severe pain. Bone metastasis can also cause local persistent severe pain or even pathological fracture. 4.
