Benign brain tumors are mainly meningiomas, pituitary tumors or germ cell tumors of the pineal gland. Intracranial benign brain tumors can be surgically resected to achieve radical treatment or cure. Pituitary tumors can also be treated by surgical resection as well as Gamma Knife, which is suitable for tumors as small as 3 cm, especially those in deeper locations. Gamma knife stereotactic radiotherapy is preferred for brain tumors at the base of the skull and brainstem, and stepwise resection can be performed if the meningioma is relatively large. The occupying lesions of the pineal gland are largely germ cell tumors, which are also relatively benign tumors.
