What is the TURBT procedure?

TURBT, also known as transurethral electrical resection of bladder tumors in urology, is a procedure that is more commonly used to treat superficial bladder tumors. The incidence of bladder tumors is relatively high in urology, and for superficial bladder tumors, transurethral resection of bladder tumors can be performed for treatment after the diagnosis is clear. The most important feature of bladder tumors is that they are prone to recurrence. Generally, patients can have regular bladder infusion chemotherapy after surgery, and the commonly used drugs are mitomycin, hydroxycamptothecin and so on. Regular bladder infusion chemotherapy can effectively reduce the recurrence rate of bladder tumor. Patients with bladder tumors should be treated actively, and surgery and radiotherapy should be chosen after the diagnosis is clear through relevant examinations.
