Promethazine is recommended to be injected intramuscularly. If promethazine is pushed rapidly and in large quantities quietly it can cause a series of adverse reactions in patients. Heart rate, blood pressure, pulse and central venous and oxygen saturation should also be monitored, and antiarrhythmic symptomatic treatment should be given in case of arrhythmia and tachycardia.
